Arbitrum Enters Web3 Gaming with XAI Partnership
XAI Foundation Leading Development
Arbitrum announced a partnership with Xai Foundation and game developer Ex Populus to launch a gaming-focused Layer-3 on its Orbit technology stack. The development of this new layer-3 blockchain is being led by the Xai Foundation with support servicing from Offchain Labs.
Features of XAI Blockchain
Xai features account and wallet abstraction that helps users onboard easily. On top of that, games will be near-free due to how Arbitrum handles transaction compression. Furthermore, it also has its own native token which plays multiple crucial roles within the Xai ecosystem. It serves as the gas for transactions, powers the validators that maintain the network and acts as the lifeblood of the entire ecosystem.
Benefits For Game Developers & Players
The infrastructure managed by the Xai Foundation and game developers ensures a low friction experience for gamers while reducing transaction costs handled by game developers so players can focus on playing and having fun without worrying about expensive gas fees.
Launch Date Revealed
Xai revealed that it plans to launch on Arbitrum soon. With this move, Web3 gaming may finally go mainstream in the coming days as more people are getting involved in blockchain games than ever before.
